HOW BANDS ARE CHOSEN

We are naming four artists per week til we’ve got 40.

Two each week are being selected by public vote (it’s free to vote and you only need to listen to five songs, do get involved and influence our list) – and two by panel – the Storm panel is the same listening group who dealt with thousands of demos for Glastonbury Festival between 2004 and 2007. They are also involving guest panelists each week to handpick artists from their shortlist – the first of these is Tracy Morter of the Rage Against the Machine and Save 6 Music campaigns.

Because of a hiccup in the voting in the first week, the panel named the first four winning songs, so in each of the final two weeks we’ll have three artists come through the vote and one named by the panel.
