ABOUT STORM
Forget chart campaigns for old songs.
We’re here for new, original music from bands and musicians who aren’t on major labels.
We collected more than 560 submissions of songs from bands and musicians who aren’t on major labels and who haven’t charted before. By two separate processes – a randomised public vote and a panel selection involving Huw Stephens, Emily Eavis, Tracy Morter and Louise Kattenhorn among others – we’ve chosen 40 of these, and we’re going to see how many of these we can get in the official top 40, all in the same week.
Our download week starts 27th June 2010. If you like the idea, please help by buying all the songs you can from our list!
There’s a Facebook group with over 30,000 members which you should invite all your friends to, too…
